WNC is increasingly becoming a hot spot for couples to tie the knot! With so many artistic talents in Asheville, it was one woman’s brilliant idea to organize a Creative Team of the best in the industry to work together in a community studio appropriately named Engaged. And lucky me, I got to help her design the studio!
Candace Hightower, curator and entrepreneur behind this “community above competition” concept is also the owner of Mingle Events and Vintage Rentals, an event planning and vintage rental business.
Engaged is an inspirational space, an event space, and a resource for finding the best-of-the-best for the Bride’s wedding needs. The Creatives are a hand-picked team, collectively working in this gorgeous shared space as a community that is ignited by togetherness and inspired by love! At Engaged, clients can organize their wedding team and have confidence that these experts will execute the dream wedding. We house entrepreneurs, artists and creators and have a library of:
- Hair and Makeup
- Photo Booth
- Artist + Musicians
- And More!
Candace needed a space where the Creative Team could meet their clients, host workshops and tutorials, and collaborate with one another on awesomeness at Engaged!
Enter a big empty space that used to be a grocery store. Sounds festive, right? Well, just wait.
Members of the Engaged Creative Team can now use the transformed studio to meet clients and use these comfy seating areas to brainstorm design ideas while enjoying a glass of wine from the wet bar or a cup of coffee from the coffee lounge.
I love seeing the meeting tables Slab Fab Studio created for us and how they shape-shift from humble conference tables to a gorgeous dining table for an elegant party to a prop in one of the many demos that the space hosts:
Engaged can also be rented out for your own events…no wedding necessary!
One space…endless possibilities!
